Greenfield
Greenfield was incorporated in 1791, having been originally part of Peterborough and Lyndeborough. It is a quiet farming and residential community.
It is home to Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center, a mountaintop facility for multiple handicapped children and adults, and Greenfield State Park. The fine scenery, pure air and water have attracted summer visitors and tourists for more than a century, and the town has been noted for the longevity of its inhabitants.
